Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress or musician as well as playback vocalist in Tamil films and Malayalam film. Her acting debut was with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. Her mother is the older sister of a researcher assistant who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai attended National Public School. He graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began classical piano lessons at age eighteen, was classified as an "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatric nurse until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined at age 10. The band led her to her first professional singing experience and her early musical composition. While at college she was also performing as a theatre artist in stage plays produced through The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started the acting profession as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She appeared in the leo coffee commercial with Shiva. The actress also appeared in a TV show which airs on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. She was in a small character in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to be one of his female leads in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani as a wife and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani after Simran Shobana Tabu and others were offered the role. It was first released in the early part of 2010. Her minor role was accepted as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 in which she starred alongside a variety of actors. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, which was released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
