Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on the 14th of March 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held at Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to be awarded four gold medals. She also won the world championship for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles is from Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. The Biles family grew up in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone began to take an interest in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl during a day-care field trip to Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for eleven years under the direction of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a medal in vault, and a bronze medal in floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began participating in the elite level of gymnastics competition. She dominated her sport just two years later. Biles's consistency, her exuberant personality and the level of effort during her four eventsvault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercise -- set her out from the rest of the athletes.
